Hi Moms,

We are now well and truly in Summer, and despite many of us being unable to go much further than our own back garden, we can still enjoy everything that the sun has to offer whilst still looking after our skin!

I like to have a refresh of my skincare and beauty bits every year, and every time I learn something new – from tons of experience with skincare successes to utter fails, I have created my wish list for Summer 2020!

All of these products are from independent businesses, as I felt there is no time like now to support our small business owners.

Clicking on any link below will direct you to where you can purchase that specific product.

Natural Lemongrass & Grapefruit Bath Salts

The heat can make you exhausted, it does for me! So as the day draws to a close and it becomes cooler, I can’t imagine anything better than relaxing in a rejuvenating bath to help detox the day away. This refreshes me more than anything else, and allows me to enjoy the rest of my evening to the fullest.

Fresh, bitter scents such as lemongrass and grapefruit are perfect for lifting your mood, and will leave your skin feeling moisturised.

These bath salts look and smell absolutely immense! Not to mention how beautiful they are to look at.

A quote from the business:

Hopscotch Refresh Bath Salts are a cleansing and hydrating blend of mineral rich dead sea salts, to draw toxins out of the skin, and epsom salts to relieve muscle aches and pains. Invigorating lemongrass and zesty grapefruit essential oils make your bath revitalising, while calendula, cornflower, and heather petals add a special touch to this energy boosting mix.”

Mint & Orange Vegan Body Balm

The sun can take a serious toll on your skin, I have different skincare routines for different times of the year. My Summer routine consists mostly of exfoliating and moisturising, moisturising is crucial as the sun is known for dehydrating your skin.

If you want to know how and why its important to exfoliate in Summer then take a look at one of our most recent blogs, ‘3 Easy DIY Scrub Recipes for Summer Weather‘.

A quote from the business:

“We make this multi-tasking Mint and Orange Body Balm from five of nature’s most powerful moisturising and repairing ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Coconut Oil and Shea Butter. We match botanical extracts with natural antioxidants and vitamins to nourish and revitalise dull, dry skin.

Sweet, menthol peppermint and lively, fruity, sweet orange combine to create an uplifting and head-clearing scent. As refreshing and comforting as a candy cane – but good for you!”

Bath Caddy Tray for Baths

When I finally get some ‘me time’ I like to go ALL out! Someone pass me a glass of wine, my nail polish, and some chocolate! This handy bath caddy looks like it would go down a treat on those evenings – its officially on my wish list! Hint, Hint, Husband!

A quote from the business:

“Enhance your bathing experience. Our over bath tray comes complete with a bath wine glass holder, a robust tablet and book stand with a rear neoprene cover attached to it for the added protection and a removable tray and for your other luxury bath products.”

Rhassoul Clay for Hair, Face & Body Masks

There’s a reason why they use this clay in some of the finest spas in world, when moistened with your liquid of choice (I like to use my favourite essential oils) , it has a smooth feel while exfoliating and drawing out the impurities.

This is a multi-use product, meaning you can pretty much use it anywhere. So if you’re having a full out pamper or just making it part of your evening ritual this clay is perfect for whatever!

Handmade Naked Soap Bars

This has to be one of the most gentle soaps around, perfect for eczema prone skin. Not to mention how lovely they look, they’re perfect as a thoughtful gift.

Our soap is made using the ancient and traditional cold process method and is 100% handmade….. even the milking is done by hand!”

Reusable Cotton Buds

This year I want to make a conscious effort to shift to more sustainable products. I thought these cute reusable cotton buds would be perfect to take away on holiday, rather than bringing a whole pack of my standard cotton pads.
