#220. 10 Ways to balance work, life, business, family and self

If you are like me, you will understand how hard it is, to do everything and be there for everyone. It is a difficult place to be. So, I have come up with these tips to help you balance everything.

When we talk about balance, we need to understand that balance does not mean doing it all, it means knowing what to do and when to do what we have to do. So, here we are,

1) Prioritize: You need to learn how to prioritize. It is not everything you should do everyday. Some things can be pushed back. So if something is not a priority for that day, for that moment, you shed it till when it is a priority. This is not procrastinating.
2) Set Boundaries: It is not everyone that should have access to you. Protect your space. It is not everything you should do for everyone, you must not be everything for every single person.
3) Learn to delegate tasks: Some of us want to do everything by ourselves. That’s exhausting!
4) Flexible schedule: If you are doing business, make sure you have flexible schedule. The moment that you are not working let work rest. Right? Don’t try to work when you are supposed to have family time. Let work rest once it’s close of work. Let work go.
5) Use your time wisely: Time management is something that has worked for me. If something is not important I am not paying attention to it. The time you use to listen to gossips and all that, you can use it to be productive. So use your time wisely.
6) Spend quality time with your children: I prefer quality over quantity. It is not about spending 24 hours with your children, but any time you have to spend with your children, please make it count. Connect with them, and make sure that at that moment, you are giving them your all.
7) Learn to take care of your body: Take care of yourself. Your body is important. Take care of it. It is called self care. It is very important.
8) Build a support network: Talk to other mothers. Get into communities of mothers. See what other people are doing. Learn from people as long as they have the kind of energy and the values that you stand for.
9) Communicate with your partner: If you have a spouse, don’t do everything yourself. Learn to communicate with them and let them help. Don’t try to do everything and fix everything.
10) Be kind to yourself: Motherhood is a huge role. You cannot afford to be beating yourself and hitting yourself for every single mistake. Be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself for the
things that you’ve done wrong. If you can’t fix it today, let it go. I hope these points help you to try and balance your life.
