I hope our weekend is going on well. Today is our recipe day. A day when we get to learn healthy recipe in our healthy lifestyle journey. I have decided that we learn the ‘Avocado Healthy Spread straight from the ’50 Amazing Moms Kitchen’. This spread requires just 2 healthy ingredients and I will be discussing each in detail so we have an idea of how beneficial it will be for us to add it as part of our routine
As a lot of us may know avocado is a very healthy superfood and it has a lot of benefits. Some of the benefits include 2 grams of protein, 15 grams of healthy fats, 9 grams of carbs of which 7 gram is fibre. And it is considered a low carb food. They are also very good when looking at lowering your cholesterol level. this super food contains Heart-Healthy Monounsaturated Fatty Acids.
The second ingredient is lime and some of the benefits of lime include weight loss. Lime is very good for weight loss and also its ability to aid digestion. It is effective for the relief of constipation and most especially for our skin and eye care. Studies show that lime can help in the treatment of urinary disorders, scurvy, piles, peptic ulcer, respiratory disorders, gout and gums. it is also very medicinal.
A Step By Step Guide on how to make the Spread.
- Take out your avocado
- mash it inside a plate
- squeeze lime and add 1 tablespoon of it to the mash avocado
- Mix together and it is ready for use.
Note that you can use this spread on any thing. You can make smoothie from it or better still you can use crackers, bread or anything you wish to enjoy it but be careful not to use unhealthy food to eat it. If not the essence will be lost.
